Going beyond Tapas at ‘Casa Teo’

Casa Teo has taken the art of Tapas to a higher level, combining their restaurant experience with a very well stocked cellar. And creating feasts of Spanish cuisines

The Restaurant

Casa Teo

Casa Teo is a noteworthy Tapas & wine bar/restaurant combined with a delicatessen for takeaway options. It’s located in the festive W District just at a stone’s throw away from Phrakanong BTS. You will find they have an impressive range of Spanish cold cuts, cheese, and tapas menu. Top picks include the Iberian platter which combines Jamón ibérico, manchego cheese, chorizo. Other must-try crusty yet creamy croquetas and pimiento de padrón. Casa Teo also claims to have Bangkok’s largest Spanish wine collection. Whether you’re a seasoned ham connoisseur or a complete amateur, Casa Teo’s dishes will satisfy your tastebuds.

The Dishes

We started digging into their famous Iberian platter (B820). It’s a lovely mix of exquisite Jamón ibérico de Bellota, manchego cheese with black pepper, quince paste, chorizo, and salchichon. The spice from the chorizo is moderated by the sweetness of the quince and earthy Iberico ham pairs admirably with the tart cheese. Pair it with a glass of wine and you have the perfect deal!

Then, we slurp our spoon into Pumpkin cream soup, egg sous-vide, Iberico ham crispy (B230). It was indeed very creamy while the crispy Iberico ham adds a nice smoky aroma. Utterly delightful!

Casa Teo soup

Looking to indulge? Chow down on their appetizing Spaghetti Chorizo, Tomato sauce, Saute’ wild mushroom & Truffle cheese (B250) . I have to say, one bite and you’re sure to be hooked!

Casa Teo Spaghetti Chorizo

For a more classic Spanish main dish option, try the Seafood Paella (B1450 for 2), a colorful dish combining saffron rice, giant river prawns, shrimps, mussels, squid and green beans. The grain rice has a nice bite under the teeth while capturing pleasantly the ocean taste.

To pair it we had Tarima Blanco wine, a unique white wine with a brilliant golden color and balanced with good acidity.

Casa Teo is a great place to have a couple of glass of wine coupled with a few tapas to eat solo or share with friends in a cozy and lay-back atmosphere.
