Steps: A Socially Responsible Restaurant

More than just a coffee shop, it’s a place where people can relax and be themselves.

With its sparkling glass windows, stylish green awning, and sleek black facade, the Steps Cafe on Ekkamai 10 exudes a welcoming, vintage vibe. When you go in, you’ll feel the warmth of the wood tables, chairs, and floor; you’ll also feel the vivacity of the room’s brightly colored cushions; and you’ll smile at the joyful splashes of color that punctuate the room’s log-colored walls. Those who frequent this cafe will appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into making each individual chair, which is crafted from a distinct species of wood. A bakery that caters to all tastes and dietary restrictions by offering a wide variety of plain, gluten-free, allergen-free, and vegan pastries, breads, snacks, and meals.

The owner told me that Steps is a nonprofit organization that serves the neurodiverse community by providing vocational training, cafes, and a business service center, all while promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The companies that make up Steps serve as educational hubs for the general public, and the tools provided by Steps help businesses get started or advance down the inclusion path. Training, modeling, and replication are the three pillars upon which the success of steps rests in its quest for systemic influence. In addition to being a conventional kitchen, the rear kitchen is also a place for special groups to complete their internships (such as autistic trainees).

Steps’s mission is to create an inclusive community which empowers neurodivergent people to lead purposeful, dignified lives.

Light Chicken Cobb Salad

Light Chicken Cobb Salad

Light ranch and mayonnaise sauces and blue cheese crumbles on a bed of lettuce, cucumber, tomato, avocado, spring onion, boiled egg, roasted chicken, and crispy bacon. Free of gluten and nuts. Ingredients: Egg, Dairy, and Soy. Just the chicken breast

There’s a hint of woodiness to the flavor. Steps marinated the chicken breasts in a minimal amount of seasoning then grilled them, creating a flavor that rivals the boiled version. A breath of new air Because both vegetables and chicken breast are strong in protein and low in fat, this meal is perfect for breakfast or lunch without worrying about gaining weight.

Gluten Free/Vegan Warm fudge brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream

Gluten Free/Vegan Warm fudge brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream

Served with caramelized bananas, caramelized almonds, and chocolate sauce. Free of gluten, dairy, and eggs. This product contains nuts and soy. The vanilla ice cream is really tasty, with a faint vanilla flavor in the tongue, followed by a creamy milk flavor, a touch of sweetness, and you will taste the vanilla flavor. The brownie cake is dense and rich in chocolate flavor, making it ideal for serving with ice cream. The sugar-brushed bananas are grilled over fire to make a thin caramelized crust with a unique flavor. You will not be disappointed if you taste this dessert.
